Accreditation

The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at USC is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), 1111 North Fairfax Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22314; telephone: 703-706-3245; email: accreditation@apta.org; website: http://www.capteonline.org. The physical therapy program has been continuously accredited since 1946. The program’s accreditation was most recently re-affirmed in 2008, with a commendation from the Commission. The program is scheduled to be re-evaluated in 2018.

The Division’s PhD and MS programs, as well as its residency programs, are not accredited by CAPTE.

Graduate Outcomes

Employment Rate Averaged over 2 Years

For the Class of 2015 and Class of 2016, 100% of graduates who sought employment have been employed as physical therapists within one year of graduation, as determined by a survey sent to all graduates.

Graduation Rate Averaged over 2 Years

For the Class of 2014 and Class of 2015, an average of 96% graduated on time. The total graduation rate for these classes was 97.5%.

Pass Rate on the National Licensure Exam

For the Class of 2016 and Class of 2017, the average first-time pass rate was 98%. The average ultimate pass rate was 99%.
