Assistant Professor of Clinical Physical Therapy

Dr. Kim earned a BS in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles, followed by a BA in Kinesiology from California State University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Southern California (USC). At USC, he completed an orthopedic physical therapy residency and currently practices at the school’s faculty practice, USC Physical Therapy Associates — University Park Campus, where he specializes in orthopedic and sports injuries. Dr. Kim is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist and a member of the Orthopaedic Section and Sports Physical Therapy Section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Dr. Kim has served as a clinical instructor for the USC Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy, a guest lecturer and presenter for the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC, and a primary faculty mentor for USC’s orthopedic and sports physical therapy residency programs. He additionally teaches students in the DPT program, as well as students taking continuing education courses such as the Division’s Orthopedic Physical Therapy Boot Camp. Specifically, Dr. Kim instructs on working with patients who have shoulder, elbow and hand/wrist pathologies.
